Im just now getting into affiliate marketing?

Question: Im just now getting into affiliate marketing?

(Posted by: Brett on 2010-02-10 03:16:54)

I've recently been researching affiliate marketing and im going to be creating a website and i have found multiple websites who accept affiliates and want people to advertise for them on your website. and im staying in the same topic of advertising that im going to be doing and my main question is, am i able to advertise multiple companys on one website? such as i have a sports page and i advertise under armour and nike on the same website.. is that ok? sense they both sell the same stuff or should i only be advertising one? im not sure how it all works exactly. im still researching lol thanks

Hi guys, i was also facing the same problem, when my website was born, i was worried about its future, about how i will advertise for free, then after 4 days i went 2: post2world.com there were classifieds and then i placed my first classified, and it hit upto 2000 views at my post, they also have a forums section where you can also put your advertisment : post2world.com/ forums when i posted my topic there, a lot of people helped me and my post received upto 1500 views and my website just skyrocked, please also visit my site as i provided you with a legitimate website : homebiznuss.com

It's a common practice, though I have to wonder if it effects your advertisers approval if the competitors are already there. It's likely that you will have months to ponder while getting the new site a attract enough traffic to make advertising worthwhile. It is wise to be focused on a topic from the start. An unrelated what not to do note, some stores have adsense ads right on their order pages, if not blocked, competitors can place adwords ads on that sales page offering a better deal elsewhere.

You can allow competitors to advertise on your website. Make sure you research keywords and how they pull in the right advertisers.

In most instances it's accepted, however I wouldn't confuse your customers by promoting the same product with different companies. Choose different products from different affiliates. If you're promoting the best pair of sneakers, don't have a lot of other articles promoting other sneakers unless you're running an estore type website.

It doesn't really matter as long as you stick to the same categories of the webite.

Trial & error is the best method to find out what content works best for your site. Some merchants may be upset if you promote them alongside competitors, which would hurt your relationship with them; however, other merchants may not mind. Try different strategies with different merchants to see what brings you optimal results. You can join various networks to see what merchants you can connect with or there are services like Skimlinks that combine all the networks for you and give you access to more merchants with higher profitability. Good luck with your website!
