Affiliate Marketing Homepage

Question: How do i start affiliate marketing with this website idea?

I want to make a website about a location and that's all I have right now. I would just write about the places that are their and stuff. But how do I turn this into a money making site when this idea is so vague??? I just a beginner so please help me. Or should I think of another IDEA?????

Think about what your location has to offer. What would be a popular tourist site. Can you rent a car at this location? Are there any rental car companies in that location that are also online that also has an affiliate program. Also check with the online ticketing companies like expedia, cheaptickets.com, orbitz, etc. If your location is a common enough place, you could sign up to their affiliate program and have a link to a page with great hotel rates, etc. Adsense is another great way to get advertising revenue. You might want to experiment with using a bunch of these, but don't go crazy on the ads. Make them part of your website but not all over your website; otherwise, it's just too obvious you're trying to sell somebody something.

It might be a long haul to convert "places that are their and stuff " into money. One idea is a local store directory, the pros will create a site, pump in traffic using seo tricks, so a search for calamazoo sushi, brings up their site, then rent ad space to local restaurants. .You might just start with a couple of blogs with no income expectations, just to get your feet wet.

If I understand your question right. You would want to start a blog or website about what that location has to offer people. Then once you start getting a good amount of traffic you would want to start talking to the business owners to see if they offer a product or service that you can sell and make a profit from. This seems like to much work for a beginner. I would just start off with something easier.
